ENGLEWOOD, N.J.—The suspect in a May 12 shooting that sent a bullet whizzing through a West Palisade Avenue house and a nearby parked car remains at large, but police recovered ballistic evidence, Deputy Police Chief Gregory Halstead said.
A 911 caller reported possible shots fired at 2:42 a.m. that day, but responding officers could not substantiate the report, Halstead said.
Residents discovered ballistic evidence when they woke up later that morning, Halstead said.
“It appears that a bullet entered the residence, as well as a vehicle that was parked in the area,” Halstead said. “There is no evidence at this time that anyone was struck and though there are several leads being pursued by city detectives, the suspect remains at large.”
