PASCACK VALLEY—Spectrum for Living, a nonprofit that supports adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, has appointed Salvador Moran as president/chief executive officer, effective May 1.
Moran brings more than 30 years of nonprofit leadership experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities, the organization said. Most recently, he served as CEO of the ARC of Morris County.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sal Moran to the Spectrum for Living family,” said Brian Todd, chair of the organization’s board of trustees. Todd said Moran demonstrated “compassion, strategic vision, and commitment to excellence” during the search process.
In the role, Moran will oversee the organization’s operations, programs, and strategic initiatives, and will work with staff, families, community partners and the board, the organization said.
Moran said he remains inspired by “the resilience, courage, and quiet strength of the individuals and families we serve,” and emphasized protecting dignity and expanding opportunities.
Todd told Pascack Press on March 4 that Moran, who resides in Roselle Park, will have a strong presence in the Pascack Valley. “Spectrum has group homes and apartments in Hillsdale, Westwood, and River Vale, as well as an Adult Training Center in Westwood, serving several hundred clients. And many of their families reside here.”
The board also thanked finance chair Vincent O’Brien for leadership during the transition. Todd said O’Brien provided “steady guidance and unwavering commitment” to staff and those served.
