WESTWOOD—The Westwood Softball Association (WSA) is gearing up for an exciting 2025 Spring Rec Kinderkamack Softball League season, and there’s still time to join. We’re told registration has been extended to Feb. 15, offering young athletes in kindergarten through eighth grade the chance to get on the field for fun, teamwork, and skill-building.
This year’s Spring Rec program continues the WSA’s tradition of fostering growth, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among players of all skill levels. Registration fees range from $100 for kindergarteners to $160 for older divisions, with sibling discounts available for families.
Although registration for the winter training program has closed, the Spring Rec season provides a fantastic opportunity for players to develop their skills, enjoy the game, and connect with their teammates.
WSA treasurer Dave Bein told Pascack Press on Jan. 30 that the association is excited to begin another season. “Last spring, we had 160 players in grades K-8. This year we hope bring the great sport of softball to even more Westwood athletes and their families,” he said.
This year’s games and practices will take place at various local fields and facilities, including Westvale Park (Harrington Avenue and Sand Road), Berkeley School (47 Berkeley Ave.), Gardner Field (Bridge Street and Ridgewood Boulevard North, Washington Township), Westwood Community Center (55 Jefferson Ave.), Westwood High School (701 Ridgewood Road, Washington Township), and other locations like Knights of Columbus, Stonybrook Swim Club, Westvale’s Upper and B Fields, and at the New York Boulders.
