TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON—The public library has announced its reopening to the public, effective Monday, July 15. The library had been temporarily closed due to extensive renovations funded by a grant from the Bergen County Office of Community Development and supported by the town council. The improvements focus on constructing a new permanent awning and ramp pathways to enhance accessibility and aesthetics.

Library staff expressed gratitude for the community’s patience and support during the renovation period. “We are thrilled to open our doors to patrons once again.”

Although the library is now open, construction is still winding down. Patrons are advised to note the temporary changes to library hours and services. Library hours will be limited and updated daily to ensure safety during the ongoing construction. Additionally, the library staff offers curbside pick-up at the gazebo to accommodate patrons.

Current operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For more updates and information, patrons can visit the library’s website at www.TwpOfWashingtonPL.org or follow their social media handles on Instagram and Facebook.
