TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON, N.J.—The Township of Washington invites residents of all ages to lace up for its Third Annual Spring Into Wellness 5K Run/Walk & Health Fair, returning on Saturday, May 3 at Bethany Community Center, 605 Pascack Road.
Hosted by Mayor Peter Calamari, the Township Public Affairs Department, and The Green Team, the event brings together health, fitness, and family fun under the banner of community wellness. The health fair begins at 8 a.m., offering a range of vendor booths, wellness resources, and health-focused community organizations. The 5K Run/Walk kicks off at 9 along a certified course that winds through the township’s tree-lined streets, with scenic views of Schlegel Lake.
Organizers expect a strong turnout from both adults and children, with proceeds supporting scholarships for graduating high school seniors pursuing health-related fields.
“This event has grown into a cherished local tradition,” said a representative from the Township’s Public Affairs Office. “It’s a great way to promote movement, connection, and community health.”
Runners and walkers can register online by scanning the QR code found on township flyers or by visiting the municipal website at www.twpofwashington.us. Packet pickup is Thursday, May 1, from 6–8 p.m. at Bethany Community Center.
