Englewood, New Jersey—Regional authorities said they raided the Mattlage Place residence of 28-year-old Varian Hooks on Aug. 10, charging him and his girlfriend for allegedly possessing while intending to distribute crack cocaine and marijuana.

Four juveniles were in the residence when police searched it, and Hooks, along with 28-year-old Christina L. Robinson of Paterson, were also both charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information leading to the search warrant, executed by the Prosecutor’s Office’s Narcotics Task Force, Bergen County Regional SWAT Team, Englewood Police Department, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department, said Acting Prosecutor Dennis Calo, in a statement.

Hooks and Robinson are both charged with having less than one-half ounce of each marijuana and crack cocaine.

Robinson

Hooks was released with conditions following an Aug. 11 court appearance. Robinson was released on her own recognizance pending a court date on Aug. 22.
