HARRINGTON PARK, N.J.—On March 16 at about 11:19 p.m., officers received a report of an intoxicated male at Harriott Avenue and Schraalenburgh Road.

Upon arrival officers found an individual vomiting and determined he had been drinking and was 18 years of age.

He told of a party on Florence Road and the responding officers determined that a large party was occurring.

After further investigation, officers determined a majority of party attendees were under 21 years of age.

Parents of youngsters below 18 were called to take custody of their children and the ensuing investigation found that 15 juveniles (individuals below 18 years old) were present, plus others older but still below the state drinking age, which is 21.

A complaint summons was issued against the two adult homeowners for making their home available for under-age consumption of alcoholic beverages.

A court date of April 11 was set for Harrington Park Municipal Court.

Police Chief Albert Maalouf warned parents to be aware that allowing alcohol consumption on premises by minors may endanger the welfare of minors and lead to criminal charges for homeowners.
