HAWORTH, N.J.—On Sept. 28 at about 6:11 p.m., Officer Thomas Reinecke and Officer Kevin McKeary were dispatched to the area of Eastview Terrace on a report of a stolen vehicle. Investigation revealed a high-end luxury vehicle was stolen from the driveway of the residence; the vehicle was unlocked and contained a key fob. The stolen vehicle was subsequently involved in a high-speed pursuit throughout New Jersey, was then abandoned and was recovered in the city of Newark.
New York woman had marijuana
On Sept. 28, 2019 at about 9:23 p.m., Officer George Buono conducted a motor vehicle stop on Terrace Street. Investigation revealed the 22-year-old female driver from New York, N.Y., was in possession of marijuana. She was placed under arrest and transported to Haworth Police Headquarters for processing, where she was subsequently issued a complaint-summons charging her with possession of marijuana, 50 grams or less. She was also issued two motor vehicle summonses. The defendant was fingerprinted, photographed and released on her own recognizance.
Newark woman presented ID of another to officer
On Sept. 29 at 5:36 p.m., Officer Kevin McKeary conducted a motor vehicle stop on Sunset Avenue. Investigation revealed the 60-year-old female driver from Newark presented a New Jersey Driver’s License containing an identity other than her own in an effort to hinder her own apprehension. She was placed under arrest and transported to Haworth Police Headquarters for processing. The defendant was subsequently issued a complaint-summons charging her with hindering apprehension and presenting a government document, which could be used as a means of verifying a person’s identity. The defendant was fingerprinted, photographed and released on her own recognizance. She was also issued four motor vehicle summonses.
Driver had marijuana, drug paraphernalia
On Sept. 30 at 12:43 a.m., Officer George Buono conducted a motor vehicle stop on Schraalenburgh Road.
Investigation revealed a 21-year-old male passenger from Middletown, N.Y., was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The man was placed under arrest and transported to Haworth Police Headquarters for processing. He was subsequently issued a complaint-summons charging him with possession of marijuana, 50 grams or less and possession of drug paraphernalia, and issued two motor vehicle summons. The man was fingerprinted, photographed and released on his own recognizance.
