PASCACK VALLEY— Residents across the valley and much of northeast New Jersey are being urged to secure outdoor items and prepare for possible scattered power outages as a Wind Advisory remains in effect through 1 a.m. Monday, according to a Nixle alert issued by the Township of Washington on Sunday afternoon.
Forecasters say west winds of 15–25 mph, with gusts reaching 50 mph, are likely through the evening. The advisory covers all of Bergen County—including the Pascack Valley communities—and extends across portions of Connecticut, New York City, Long Island, and the Hudson Valley.
Officials warn that gusty winds may down tree limbs, damage unsecured outdoor items, and create hazardous driving conditions, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Minor, localized power outages are possible.
Residents are advised to use caution when traveling and to secure outdoor furniture, decorations, and other loose objects that could become airborne.
Updates will be provided as conditions warrant.
