Women business owners to meet on Aug. 10

The Northeast Region of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) hosts its monthly networking breakfast from 8-9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10 at the Suburban Diner, 172 Route 17N.

The topic for this event is “Navigating the Best Healthcare Resources  for Elders and the Medically Disabled,” presented by Liz Johnson, CEO and president of Always Best Care Senior Services of Hackensack.

Johnson will discuss the best options and resources available for elders and families when faced with overwhelming decisions regarding ailing loved ones and how to plan ahead to minimize frustration and make educated decisions.

Questions and answers will follow the presentation. According to the event announcement, Johnson is dedicated to serving elders in need and those medically disabled who cannot advocate for themselves.

“She has modeled her agency with heightened compassion and superior excellence because she knows from personal experience how overwhelming and devastating caring for an aging parent, relative, or spouse can be,” the announcement reads in part. Prior to starting her agency, Johnson was an executive in top-rated biotech and pharmaceutical companies for 20 years.

Space is limited for this excellent networking opportunity. The fee, which includes breakfast and a beverage, is $15 for members, $20 for others registered online, and $25 for all at the door. To register, visit njawbo.org.
