WOODCLIFF LAKE—Residents have a busy week ahead with a variety of activities and meetings scheduled. Whether you’re looking to get involved in local government, attend a festive Halloween event, or take care of practical needs like document shredding, there’s something for everyone.
- Sunday, Oct. 20: Town Shredding Event
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the WCL Ecology Center hosts a town shredding event. This is a great opportunity for residents to safely dispose of sensitive documents. - Monday, Oct. 21: SLEO Info Session
At 7 p.m., the Mayor and Council host an information session at Tice Senior Center and on Zoom regarding the Special Law Enforcement Officers (SLEO) program. This is an excellent chance for residents to learn about the role and responsibilities of SLEOs in the community. At 7 p.m., the Planning Board meets at Borough Hall to discuss the application for 240 Boardway. This meeting will be an important one for residents interested in local development. Also at 7 p.m., the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee holds a “Nurtured Heart Approach Parent Training” at the Woodcliff Middle School Media Center, providing valuable support for parents in the community. - Saturday, Oct. 26: Halloween Festivities Begin
The excitement kicks off at noon with the Woodcliff Lake Halloween Costume Parade and Contest, promising a fun afternoon for families. From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Party City hosts a Trunk or Treat event at their headquarters, at 100 Tice Blvd. In the spirit of the season, the Fall Harvest Festival will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tice’s Corner, bringing fall-themed fun to the community. - Early Voting Begins
From Oct. 26 to Nov. 3, residents can head to Tice Senior Center to cast their early votes. The polling station is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
