You’re Invited as Westwood Welcomes Winter Dec. 5

Home for the Holidays is cancelled, but save these dates and bring the family!

WESTWOOD, N.J.—Celebrate Westwood invites residents and neighbors to stroll downtown on Dec. 5 to enjoy the sights, sounds, scents, and sales of the 2020 holiday season in the Hub of the Pascack Valley. Stroll the Avenues from Veterans Memorial Park to Five Corners, including Broadway and Jefferson Avenues, and immerse yourself in Westwood’s Winter Wonderland.

Amid your shopping, be sure to vote for your favorite holiday window decor as part of the Business Holiday Window Decorating Contest. Warm up with a stop by one of downtown’s many restaurants to enjoy a hot meal or beverage, or take a late afternoon break in Veterans Memorial Park to admire seasonal decorations set to the soundtrack of holiday music.

Be sure to check out oversized winter inflatables at Westwood Community Center, 55 Jefferson Ave.

“While the traditional holiday tree lighting cannot go on this year, we look forward to sharing a special prerecorded lighting with musical entertainment and extra-special guests,” said Lauren Letizia for Celebrate Westwood.

The festivities will continue Saturday, Dec. 12 and 19, with additional entertainment and unique holiday activities, all with the intent of celebrating the season with neighbors, friends, and families.

“Pursuant to the governor’s executive orders, we require everyone to please wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines,” Letizia said.
