PASCACK VALLEY—Annual reorganization meetings and end-of-year (sine die) sessions fill local Pascack Valley government agendas in the first week of 2023, with Montvale starting off first at noon on New Year’s Day.
The first meetings of the New Year welcome newly elected and reelected members, hear from the new members, and transact old and new business that puts in place local government professionals and staff to keep our towns running smoothly.
Here’s a list of 2023 sine die/reorganization meetings planned in our eight Pascack Valley towns. We look forward to bringing you coverage of these meetings, and of local governance throughout the year.
- Emerson: Reorganization meeting Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Borough Hall.
- Hillsdale: Reorganization meeting Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at Borough Hall.
- Montvale: Reorganization/sine die meeting Sunday, Jan. 1 at noon at Borough Hall.
- Park Ridge: Tuesday, Jan. 3, sine die at 6 p.m.; reorganization meeting at 6:30 p.m., at Borough Hall.
- River Vale: Tuesday, Jan. 3, sine die at 6:15 p.m.; reorganization 6:30 p.m., Township Hall.
- Township of Washington: Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 7:30 p.m., Township Council Chambers.
- Westwood: Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Westwood Community Center, 55 Jefferson Ave.
- Woodcliff Lake: Thursday, Jan. 5 at 7 p.m., Tice Senior Center (no TV or Zoom).
Check out online council agendas to find out if sessions will be broadcast via Zoom, YouTube, public access television, or a hybrid format. Some sessions will be in-person only, as in Woodcliff Lake.
