COMMUNITY VOICES: McGuire, Argenzia for Family Town

To the editor:

In recent years Jill McGuire’s name has become recognizable in Emerson for advocating on numerous fronts, and she is a sitting councilwoman. My letter is to remind those of you who are not aware that Jill McGuire is also the Triana boys’ mom and we are very proud of her!

Growing up, I have always known our mom to be an individual who works hard at her passions and stands up for her beliefs. For a time she raised my brothers and me as a working single mom while attending university (graduating with honors). She later married our stepfather, had our younger sister, Keira, and our family moved to Emerson.

She met her running mate, Nicole Argenzia, at about that time, in 2006. Like my mother, Nicole has always been a person of action, committed to volunteering and serving the community.

I have no doubt that with Jill McGuire and Nicole Argenzia on the council Emerson will be in good hands, as they each have the leadership skills required to help navigate Emerson through what lies ahead. It is my firm belief that the two of them are what is best for “The Family Town.” As such, I hope everyone will go out on Nov. 5 and vote Column 1 for McGuire and Argenzia.
