Old Tappan rocks the night away with a wild summer concert series. Each concert is free and kicks off at 7 in Oakes Park.
Here are the borough’s upcoming performances:
- July 26: Outside the Lines pleases a diverse crowd with today’s country, rhythm and blues and rock hits from the 1970s, ‘80s and ‘90s.
- Aug. 2: Bandit with Patti Davis arrives direct from Nashville to perform classic country, Southern rock, and Americana tunes.
- Aug. 9: Fishcake & The Fried Daddies bring New Orleans flair with swing, jump blues, jazz and roots music.
- Aug. 16: Get swept away to the Caribbean with the island sounds of reggae band No Discipline.
Three concerts filled the air with family friendly beats in July. The New York Hitmen played a high-energy mix of classic and current rock. South Street Station provided an eclectic mix of pop, R&B, rock and a little country. Beauty and the Grease got the crowd going with music from the ‘50s, ‘60s, and today.
In the event of inclement weather, concerts will move to the Old Tappan Firehouse at Old Tappan Road and Russell Avenue. Boroughs across the valley are hosting free summer concerts. For more information, visit your borough website. — Staff report
