EMERSON — Mayor Danielle DiPaola said the borough’s Shade Tree Committee will hold its annual memorial tree planting on Saturday, April 25 at 10 a.m. at Rosengart (Sunset) Park.
Each year, the committee plants a tree in memory of Emerson residents who died during the preceding year. Family members are invited to attend and share memories of their loved ones.
The 2026 memorial will honor the following residents:
Frank L. Barker III; James Belveduto Jr.; Caryl “Jim” Currier; Keith Della Volpe; Rocco DeMarco; Mary “Maura” C. Enright; Herbert Fink; Frank Florio; Daniel Michael Fullam; Nelson Fullam; Colleen Gerhold; Thomas Gibbons; Armando Gonzalez; Ron Griffin; Pedro Elizah Jopher; Thomas Lynch; Ruth Maceluch; Terence Maloney; former Police Chief Peter Mazzeo; Sister Dominic Marie McDonnell, O.P.; Kelly McGrath-Baratta; former Mayor Robert Menditto (1999–2002); Joyce Milano; Arlene Mulhern; Catherine A.
