Forum on Teen Substance Abuse on Nov. 18

HILLSDALE, N.J.—The Hills Valley Coalition for Resilient Youth invites you to a presentation and forum on preventing substance abuse and at-risk teen behavior.

Keynote speaker is Mallory Henry of Caron Treatment Centers. The event is Monday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. at Pascack Valley High School.

Henry is a coordinator of Student Assistance Services for Caron Treatment Centers. She has worked directly with elementary, middle and high school students to deliver a variety of treatment programming and has presented on an array of topics to parents and professionals across the state. 

The Hills Valley Coalition is an alliance of community members working to promote a stigma-free and substance-free environment for the families of Hillsdale, Montvale, River Vale and Woodcliff Lake. 

Composed of school officials, municipal leaders, law enforcement officers, business leaders, health providers, faith-based leaders, and residents, the organization  educates and informs the community about stigma-free mental health and provides a safe and substance-free environment that reduces at risk teen behavior and supports a healthy family lifestyle.

Next meetings are Dec 2, 2019 and Feb. 3, and March 30, 2020 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs conference room in the Montvale Municipal Building, 12 Mercedes Dr.
