Harrington Park Garden Club’s Efforts Bear Fruit

HARRINGTON PARK, N.J.—Members of the Garden Club of Harrington Park met in downtown Harrington Park recently for their annual fall/winter “Greening of the Barrels.”

Under the guidance of Town Beautification Chairlady Carla Jacobelli, Garden Club members replaced summer plantings with lush green Alberta Spruces. Jacobelli plans to trim the trees with red bows and small white lights for the holidays.

The multi-seasonal planting and maintenance of the barrels is one of the Garden Club’s ongoing Community Beautification projects.

Membership in the Garden Club of Harrington Park is open to all gardeners, active and armchair, from all towns.  Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month, September through June, in the Harrington Park Library.
