Dr. Joseph A. Caltabiano passed away on July 12, 2018. He was born on August 22, 1923 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a longtime resident of Haworth. Predeceased by his devoted wife, Letizia of 65 years. Loving father of his son David and wife Tracy, his daughter Claudia and wife Judith Schlesinger, grandsons Matthew and wife Jennifer, Anthony and fiancee Eileen.
Dr. Caltabiano served in the post-World War II Army as a captain and physician. Dr. Caltabiano was an internist in private practice in Dumont for many years, later becoming Director of Medical Education and Continuing Education in Englewood Hospital, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed traveling with Letizia and learning throughout his life.
