Josephine C. Daniels (nee Dellava), 90, of Harrington Park, formerly of Norwood, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018. Beloved wife of the late William J. Daniels. Loving mother of Celia Cuk and husband John of Danbury, CT, Elizabeth Pawlak and husband Guy of Wayne and Carolyn Contreras and husband John of Norwood. Proud grandmother of Emily, Sarah, Olivia, Melanie, William, Benjamin and Philip. Dearest sister of Angelina Taylor and the late Arthur Dellava and Norma Kirsch.
Josephine was born on her family’s farm in Closter. After raising her children she was a secretary for the Borough of Norwood for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of Club 60 in Harrington Park, the Norwood Senior Center and was a devoted parishioner of Immaculate Conception RC Church, Norwood. She enjoyed traveling and meeting new people but her cherished grandchildren were the love of her life.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, July 24 at Immaculate Conception Church followed by interment in Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY. Visitation was held on Monday, July 23 at Pizzi Funeral Home in Northvale. Those who wish may make donations in Josephine’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
