WESTWOOD, N.J. — Parkside Community Church will present a special benefit concert featuring Christopher Doran performing the music of Josh Groban, with special guest vocalist Nancy Feldman, on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. at Parkside Community Church, 545 Fourth Ave.
Proceeds will benefit The Healing Grove Counseling Center, a newly established nonprofit organization that plans to provide low-cost, short-term counseling services to uninsured and underinsured individuals beginning in mid-2027.
Sponsored by Parkside Community Church, the concert is part of the church’s commitment to addressing the growing need for accessible mental health care in the community. Parkside is also the founding organization behind The Healing Grove Counseling Center and is helping launch this new ministry and nonprofit outreach to make professional counseling more affordable and accessible for those facing financial barriers.
Christopher Doran, known for his powerful vocals and captivating performances, will perform a selection of Josh Groban’s most beloved songs. Joining him will be Nancy Feldman, recognized throughout Bergen County for her vocal performances in numerous productions with the Bergen County Players, one of the region’s most respected community theater organizations.
“We believe that emotional and mental wellness are essential components of individual and community health,” said Pastor Rodny Haveman of Parkside Community Church. “The Healing Grove Counseling Center was created to help meet an important need in our area, and this concert is a wonderful opportunity to bring people together through music while supporting a meaningful cause.”
The Healing Grove Counseling Center plans to begin serving clients in mid-2027. Its mission is to provide professional, compassionate, short-term counseling to individuals and families who may not have access to mental health services because they lack insurance coverage or adequate financial resources.
The suggested donation for concert admission is $25. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.parksidechurch.netor at the door that evening.
