WESTWOOD, N.J.—Westwood Avenue will be closed to all vehicle traffic between Broadway and Kinderkamack Road on Monday, Aug. 17, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. for milling and repaving work in the downtown business district, according to Westwood Police Chief Michael R. Pontillo.
Police said all work is expected to be completed that day.
Westwood officers will be stationed in the area to direct traffic, assist motorists around the closure and help protect pedestrians and construction crews.
Drivers are advised to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and use alternate routes where possible.
Police said the project is mandated by Bergen County. Questions or concerns about the work may be directed to the Bergen County Department of Public Works at 201-336-7675.
