“We’ve taken a big building and we break down the scale of the architecture and try to make this as comfortable as we can for everybody,” architect Bob Hillier of Studio: Hillier, Princeton, says at the April 6 session at town hall. (Screenshot)

HILLSDALE—In fulfillment of its commitment to inform the public of ongoing redevelopment efforts, the Borough of Hillsdale and its professionals will make a presentation during the regularly scheduled, duly noticed Borough Council meeting on Tuesday, July 12 at 7 p.m.

According to the public announcement, the presentation will inform the public about the proposed project, the redevelopment and financial agreements (PILOT), the community benefits, and the fiscal impact on the community. “We anticipate that this will provide the community with a thorough overview of the project, but we will also post the proposed agreements immediately following such meeting.”

The notice says, “The Borough Council will not take any action to approve the redevelopment agreement at the meeting. However, the Borough Council will consider the introduction of an ordinance approving the financial agreement. Although the Council may introduce such ordinance, it will not be considered for final adoption until Aug. 9.”

And it says, “At such meeting the Council will also consider a resolution approving the redevelopment agreement. The August 9 meeting will be another opportunity for the public to comment on the project and the agreements.”

The public is welcome and encouraged to comment during the upcoming Borough Council meetings.
