Seniors, parking, park, and pets when Westwood council meets, Wednesday, March 19

WESTWOOD—The Mayor and Council of Westwood are gearing up for their meeting set for March 19 at Borough Hall, at 101 Washington Ave.

At 6 p.m. the Executive Closed Session will cover discussions on personnel issues, including captain interviews and health Insurance matters. The meeting resumes at 8, with such key agenda items as a proclamation for the latest Tree City USA recognition, updates from the engineer’s office, and reports from various committees and officials.

Of note, the meeting will discuss proposed ordinances, such as enhancements to Voorhis Park basketball courts (a proposed $40,000 appropriation), regulations for senior citizen advisory committees, and regulation of pets within playgrounds. Financial matters, including bill presentations and resolutions, will also be addressed.

Ordinances on Adoption: amending Chapter 375 Vehicles and Traffic Article VIIIA Employee Parking; amending Chapter 40 Article VII Parking Enforcement Officer; and amending Chapter 195 Article XX Off- Street Parking Requirements.
