Hillsdale Fire Department volunteers visited Hillsdale United Nursery School for Fire Prevention Week, which began Oct. 6.
Firefighter Jack spoke to the children about family-safe meeting spots, smoke detectors, and how to evacuate a house in the event of a fire or suspected fire.
With the help of Freddie the Fire Truck, the kids, 3–4, learned to stop, drop, and roll should their clothes catch fire. The program concluded with a tour of the fire truck.
The school thanks the Hillsdale Fire Department volunteers for continually providing exceptional learning experiences for the children in our community.
