Woman charged with DWI was at legal limit

On Jan. 16 at 10:54 p.m., Officer Anthony Butler conducted a motor vehicle stop on Schraalenburgh Road and detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from the interior of the vehicle.

The driver, a 45-year-old from River Vale, subsequently performed field sobriety tests; based on Butler’s observations and indicators observed during the field sobriety testing it was determined the driver was driving while intoxicated.

The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Haworth Police Headquarters, where she was processed and subsequently provided two breath samples resulting in a 0.08 percent blood alcohol content reading.
