MONTVALE, N.J.—Mayor Michael Ghassali took to Facebook at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 4 to apprise residents of three water main breaks in town, sharing cellphone video of Suez crews working one of them.

Ghassali wrote to residents, “Today we had two water main breaks on Nottingham Court on the east side of town and a smaller break on Cherry Lane on the west side of town. SUEZ has located the pipe under Nottingham Court and is currently in the process of repairing it. We will lose water this afternoon and the houses affected will be notified by SUEZ.”

He added, “I visited Nottingham Court while the crew were working to locate the break. Unfortunately we just paved that road few months ago, but it will be paved back by SUEZ in the area of the break.”

The mayor asked for patience while the work continues.
