HAWORTH, N.J.—The Haworth Coffeehouse and Haworth Arts Committee present a special format for the next Open Mic Night and invite you to share your talent or just come to see wonderful local performers. The event is Saturday, June 1 at the Haworth Library, 300 Haworth Ave., and admission is free.
Artists aged 12 and under can sign up at 6:45 with youth only performances from 7-8 p.m. The regular Coffeehouse Open Mic for all artists will have sign up at 7:45, and the show is from 8-10 p.m.
The Haworth Coffeehouse provides a welcoming venue for singers and musicians, as well as poets, story tellers, dancers, and comics. Performers may do from two to three songs. Past performers have noted how much they enjoy the spirit of community among the talented performers, and appreciative and supportive audience and staff.
For each event, volunteers create a Greenwich Village-style coffeehouse, complete with stage with sound system and lights, piano, and candle lit tables. Coffee, other beverages and light snacks are available for sale with proceeds donated to support local arts and recreation programs.
