COMMUNITY VOICES: ‘Always Westwood’ impresses

To the editor:

There are three dedicated public servants in Westwood that I would like to urge the good people of Westwood to support come this Election Day.

The three are members of the “Always Westwood” team. I can’t think of a better name for their ticket. “Always Westwood” is perfect for Ray Arroyo, Beth Dell, and Rob Bicocchi.

Ray Arroyo might be the smartest person I know. Beth Dell might be the kindest person I know. Rob Bicocchi might be the most generous person I know. Together they’re an incredible team working tirelessly for Westwood.

Councilman Ray Arroyo will be an amazing mayor for Westwood. His conservative fiscal values and experience with our public safety departments as a councilman, are just two phases of the role he will master. If you have the chance to speak with Ray, please do. I promise you that you’ll learn something. I have.

As the chairman of the Westwood Recreation Advisory Committee, I have worked very closely with Councilwoman Beth Dell. As the council liaison to Recreation, Beth continually strives to improve our recreation offerings to our entire community. Recreation isn’t just for children, in Westwood it’s for all! Beth gets that! She’s also an expert on education and a skilled administrator.

As for Councilman Rob Bicocchi. I don’t know a better husband and father in town. That’s important to note, because Rob treats Westwood as part of his own family. I have been involved in Westwood for 16 years and during that time I have seen Rob Bicocchi everywhere. He’s always helping someone, somewhere. Today I drove by our police headquarters and Rob was there serving the police lunch. I’m sure this weekend he’ll be somewhere else in Westwood helping. Just ask his wife Roseann, Rob is “Always Westwood.”

All three candidates have incredible records of service to our community. I say community, because we all believe Westwood is a truly special place, a great community. The “Always Westwood” team is all about our community, they are certainly not about state or national politics. Their motives and actions are centered within the Westwood boundary only. This team cares about Westwood, they care about all of us!

Please cast your votes on Election Day or Ray Arroyo, Beth Dell and Rob Bicocchi.
