This letter is in support of Tenafly’s Mayor Peter Rustin, who is up for re-election next month.
In my experience, Mayor Rustin has been exceptionally responsive to taxpayer concerns and suggestions, and he gets excellent results.
Mayor Rustin usually responds within 24 hours to any concern, often on the same day. In general, and in town hall meetings, he is thoroughly honest in his answers and follows through on the commitments that he makes. No vague promises or statements.
He has the energy of a teenager and is to be seen at every town event. During council meetings, he is always a very knowledgeable and calm influence.
He is well-respected in the community and in Bergen County, and there is no reason to replace him, especially because he has served us so well during his time in office.
I urge you to re-elect Peter Rustin as Mayor of Tenafly.
