RIVER VALE POLICE BLOTTER: Car Stolen from Wittich Terrace

RIVER VALE, N.J.—On July 16 at 6:30 a.m. a Wittich Terrace resident reported their car had been stolen overnight. It was determined that the vehicle had been parked in the  driveway the previous night and was left unlocked with the keys inside.  

Later that morning, the police received multiple reports that unlocked vehicles had been entered during the previous overnight hours and several items had been taken from the vehicles.  

Vehicles that had been entered were parked in driveways on Wittich Terrace and several surrounding streets. River Vale Police Department detectives and detectives from The Bergen County Sherriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded and processed several vehicle for prints and other evidence.  

This matter is under investigation. Residents are urged to lock their cars, remove valuables, keys and key fobs when the vehicles are unattended.
