Club Invites All to Create Thanksgiving Centerpieces

HARRINGTON PARK, N.J.—The Garden Club of Harrington Park will hold its annual Thanksgiving “Make-It & Take-It”  Workshop on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m., upstairs in the Harrington Park Library, 10 Herring St.

“Come join the fun! Create  your own one-of-a-kind centerpiece to grace your dining table, decorate your living room, or perhaps give as a hostess gift,” the club says. “This timely workshop will be conducted by Gerri Gibney, President of the Garden Club of Harrington Park.”

All materials for the centerpieces will be provided—an abundance of beautiful fresh fall flowers  and greens plus containers and floral foam. Participants should bring pruners or sharp scissors.

There will be a fee for materials: GCHP Members pay $18; non-members pay $23. Preregistration is required as space is limited. To secure a spot, email Gibney at themerchantmouse[at]aol.com.

Gibney is a life-long passionate gardener who loves everything garden. She translated her love of gardening into founding the Garden Club Club of Harrington Park, of which she serves as president.  Gerri has lectured on numerous garden topics and led workshops for various organizations and garden clubs.

“The workshop is open to all, from all towns. Make your reservation now!” the club says.
